Tips for Me:

thighs must always touch!!! (breezy vagina syndrome)

thighs are basically your butt and aren’t attached like barbie doll legs

don’t work on the face unless you REALLY have time

don’t draw the gay circle joints connecting the arms/legs; make 2 ovals and have them overlap to make those circle things

noting the head direction is always a nice touch

keep lines natural, don’t be afraid to overextend body parts to exaggerate

work on your hands and foots, because their badness is making the whole thing bad

the boobs are awkward

you can draw small for now, but I better see some larger stuff later

if your model is boring, use your imagination to make them not boring

stop drawing hair if u have no time!!!!!!

no spine lines.

approved and loved my portfolio, said I was ahead of the game and had a strong portfolio, loved my detail work, loved how I could tell a story through my art (<33), really wanted more art like that from me, wanted me to go to the summer program, wants me to update her on my artwork, I was really surprised when she said that I could basically submit my portfolio rn… even I know that I’m not ready, but thanks 4 da compliment

Said I had great fundamental talent, wanted me to continue more in that direction and not do as much “fantasy work”, things to work on: COLOR and 3D. “Great start”, only liked my still lifes and portraits though :(

RISD:

Said I had great talent with ink and charcoal and water color :’))))), but then said that I didn’t need to keep on proving it by adding redundant art, said that he understood that “wow this girl can hold a pen” with one piece, now he wants more stuff from my imagination, fundamental stuff is great, but stuff I actually care about is more important, draw a portrait from the mirror, compile all my favorite sketchbook drawings on a slideshow so its not as messy. Said that if I didn’t think a piece was good, don’t put it in, in regards to my question on “color” (das rite RIT), I was told to keep him updated.

Overall:

I was really happy with the criticism they gave me, because it tells me I’m on the right track with the stuff I need to improve on, and I know that I have stuff that I’m working on right now that pertains to the weaknesses that I know I have and what the people mentioned about in my portfolio

strengths overall: my attention to detail, my “sophisticated” style, impressive talent with ink, pencil, charcoal and watercolor

weaknesses overall: most of my shit ain’t done or finalized LOLWOOPS, more stuff from my imagination, my “personal” pieces, color and 3D, sketchbooooks, put stuff in my portfolio that I CARE about (ily RISD guy), don’t copy, look at real life Next time bring my oil and chinese and watercolor paintings and remember FIGURE drawings, and PRINTS, omg I had a heart attack everytime I remembered all this shit that I left at home dsaFHDKFASDLFH, so frustrating why didn’t I plan ahead????? SO DUMMMMB
